A miniature optical extinction heated probe for fog droplet measurements in steam turbines

چکیده

The knowledge of droplet size distribution and concentration allows us to calculate the wetness fraction isentropic turbine efficiency as well provide significant data for erosion modeling. For that purpose, a miniature optical extinction probe with diameter 9.4mm was designed, manufactured tested. is equipped heater, which maintains all components clean from any water contamination. In this paper matrix inversion algorithm presented in order out spectral turbidity measurements. An ultrasonic atomizer characterized terms an established Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA) system have reference spray environment proof concept newly developed probe. Measurements were performed results shown good agreement between PDA technique at various axial locations nozzle exit generator.
